Comprehensive management of couples with infertility. This involves investigating and counseling regarding chances of a natural pregnancy, management of lifestyle issues, treating any underlying medical or surgical problems and assisted reproduction.
When people think of assisted reproduction most think that IVF is the only option. Whilst IVF a fantastic treatment for many, there may be several other options available. I pride myself on spending the time to work out what is the best technique for my patients' individual situation, taking into account their needs and wishes. With the team at Genea (formerly Sydney IVF) I am able to offer some of the most advanced reproductive techniques including ovulation induction, IVF, ICSI, and preimplanation genetic diagnosis.
Helping women with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and irregular or absent menstrual periods, whether or not they are trying to conceive. Management of women, trying to conceive, who have known endocrine conditions such as thyroid disease.
Counseling regarding fertility options for single women or same-sex couples. Providing advice for women and men whose fertility is threatened by cancer treatments, and options to minimize this risk .
Helping couples who experience recurrent miscarriage with investigation for underlying causes, and options for improving chances of a successful pregnancy next time.
Laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic adhesions, and tubal reanastomosis. Hysteroscopic (scalpel-free) surgery for uterine abnormalities such as polyps, fibroids, septums and adhesions. Testicular biopsies if required for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
My philosophy of individualized care means I allow for long consultations and pride myself on spending enough time for my patients to be fully informed about their situation, with ample opportunity to have their questions thoroughly addressed. Given this additional time I spend, I charge privately above the Medicare rebate. Please contact my rooms for further information regarding consultation costs. Costs for treatment at Genea can be found at www.genea.com.au.
